Identities are Linkinus' way of storing your user information. Identities allow you to quickly assign a connection specific personal information including passwords for nickname authentication (as supported by Linkinus). An identity consist of a username (used e.g. for authentication with Q on QuakeNet), a realname and a number of preferred nicknames and authentication passwords.

Identities can be access through the “i” icon on the right side of the Linkinus window under the names of the people in a channel.
